Located in Garhwal Himalayas and known for its eye-catching trekking trail, Har Ki Dun is the pearl of Uttarakhand. Trekking through this trail exposes you to the panoramic view of rich flora and fauna of the forest, atavistic villages, campsites ashore the river, and the beauty of snow-capped mountains. According to legends, this trekking trail was used by the Pandavas in Mahabharat to ascent to heaven. Swargarohini, the snow-covered peak; thus, owns its name from this fable. Among several mythical and Historical relics, the Duryodhana Temple in village Osla is a must-visit religious site. That said, a trek to the majestic trails of this valley takes every adventurist back in time.
Har Ki Dun is the best trekking destination during the summer and post-monsoon. Studded with green patched orchids, rhododendrons and other blossoms, this valley wades away the risks of altitude adaptation and make the trekking trip safe for all. Trekking alongside Thamsa river can be your once-in-a-lifetime experience. On average, the trekking journey takes 5-6 hours and with the help of native people and the availability of refreshment facilities on the way, this trip becomes pretty convenient for everyone.
Although this place includes some dangers, some preemptive moves like carrying rain trekking essentials, including Poncho, waterproof covers, water-resistance trekking boots, and anti-diarrhea medicines could save you from all the unforeseen events. Despite that, it is a must-do thing when it comes to embracing nature dripping through green foliages like pearls.

–Must have the stamina to cover 5kms of distance within 30 minutes without having any problem,
-The person should be able to carry a 10-15kg of a backpack.
-The climbers must not have high blood pressure, heart problem, asthma, epilepsy and other problems which might be disastrous at high altitudes.
