Kumaon region of Uttarakhand consists of the great Himalayas, endowed with rich flora and fauna. It has been the trekking hub for people from all around the world. Trekking to Pindari Glacier provides people an escape to snow-clad glaciers, spectacular valleys, and some of the least visited places of Kumaon village.
The most amazing thing about this trekking trip is that it does not put your endurance to the test because of the smooth trailing path throughout. Although you may find mountain ridges, streams, and spider walls challenging, the heart quenching beauty and serenity of its landscape will make all your pain go away.
Pindari Glacier trajectory starts from Loherkhet, which is located in Bageshwar district at a 20 km distance. You will reach the zero point of trekking after crossing some tiny villages like Dhakuri, Diwali, and Pukaria. While you pass by the trekking trails that lead to the glacier, mystic rhododendron forests and Nanda Devi sanctuary will provide you with magnificent views of peaks like Maiktoli(6803mts) and Panwali Dwar(6683mts).
