As travel to a specific destination is becoming convenient and affordable, everyone wants their trip to be the best in every possible way. Although travel involves various aspects, one thing always confuses the minds of a traveler that is what type of accommodation to consider for the vacation. With such a wide array of accommodations options across Rishikesh, there always questions that confuse many people, like what accommodation type will suit the needs? Or will it be able to give a suitable amount of relaxation that you hope? These questions will only be answered if you know the features of each type of accommodations. Therefore, here are the different types of accommodations that you should consider before planning your Rishikesh trip.

Hostels

Hostels are known as the cheapest accommodation. The hostels usually provide shared rooms along with bunk beds, but some hostels also offer private rooms. In hostels, facilities are normally shared amongst the roommates. No doubt, they are a fantastic option and suitable for solo travelers. They not only have a friendly environment, but they are also located in excellent locations that provide a superior view of the landscapes. Although they are a great option for solo travelers, they usually need to be avoided if you are with your family.

Hotels

Hotels always remain the standard part of tourist accommodation. While hotels can provide the various facilities, they usually come in various star levels from 1 to 5 with one-star being the lowest and five stars being the highest. Commonly, the one-star hotel provides a basic room with a few essentials. However, as you go up the star levels, the hotels will offer benefits with added amenities such as the room will be fully furnished. You’ll likely get better television, reliable services, more comfortable beds, and so on. Around the hotel premises, you may likely get a pool, fitness gym, and spa facilities, bars, and multiple restaurants. But, all these things depend on your hotel selection and your budget for hotel expenses.

Guest Houses

Guesthouses are extensive house spaces that usually run by local families in Rishikesh. The owner of these houses often keeps the property open for travelers who want to spend some days in Rishikesh. The guest houses are well-furnished and give the vibe of your own personal space. They often come with shared amenities like bathroom and kitchen, and you will get homemade food.

Ashrams

Knowns as the yoga capital of the world, Rishikesh is filled with ashrams due to its sacred and spiritual surroundings. Most Indian travelers usually use ashrams for their stay and provide a package of a week’s stay. They offer various activities from yoga lessons to meditation with daily meals. Although, you have to stay in the confined premises within the ashrams as it is quite common because most of the travelers usually come to this place to attain peace.

Resorts

Resorts are also another accommodation alternative to stay. And they often knowns as the complete package for convenience that come with all the amenities. They are suitable for family vacations due to their large spaces that can be ideal for a family of four or more members to stay. They either are located in the central part of destinations or settled in an isolated area. Some of the facilities of a resort include gym facilities, additional excursion and activity options, well-furnished rooms with private bathrooms, television facilities, and more. People usually get confused between resorts and hotels, but the biggest difference between them is most facilities that you will get in a resort are not available in a 3 or 4-star hotel.
