Situated at an elevation of 5946mts, the glaciated Kalindi Khal trek provides an enthralling trekking experience to all. Also known as Kalindi pass, the trail connects Gangotri and Gastoli in the mighty Himalayas. The snow-capped mountains that enwrap the entire landscape, blend one’s spirit into this adrenaline trekking journey impeccably.
It is a prolonged trek that starts from Gangotri alongside the Ganga river. Thereafter, a short trip ahead takes you to Nandanvan through Bhagirathi Valley, situated at the base of Bhagirathi peak. Further trekking will lead you to Alaknanda Valley from where you can kick start your trek uphill to Vasuki Tal. Finally, the challenging Kalindi Khal trek commences from this lake. Trekking downward, you will visit the last villages on the Chinese frontier, named Arwatal and Mana and with a visit to Badrinath, your journey finally comes to an end.
