Known as a Gangotri-Bhojwassa-Gaumukh-Tapovan trek, the trail snares people into variant landscapes. Lush green grasslands, rocky meadows, and frosty glaciers en route witness enormous visits every year. Mythologically, Tapovan is a place where saints and ascetics meditate in secluded panoramas amidst serried Deodars and Bhagirathi group of peaks. This trekking destination breeds at the foothill of Shivling peak beyond Gangotri glacier, the source of river Bhagirathi which rushes down in a torrential fury to meet Alaknanda at Devprayag and form the sacred river, Ganga.
Trekking through multiple glacial panoramas, encompassing Kirti Bamak glacier and Meru glacier, is an experience of a lifetime and requires assimilation of the necessary equipment to be successful. Amplifying the expedition, blue mountain goats catch the limelight throughout the trekking journey. It is a trek that even a non-mountaineer can explore despite the difficulty level it exudes.
