Adi Kailash peak is renowned as a guardian of the religious essence of Mount Kailash as the snow deposition at this place leaves an impression of sacred ‘Om’ symbol. The peak is one of eight mountains in India with Om impression and is also called OM Parvat. Looming at an altitude of 6191 m from Dharchula district, travelers from all corners of the world are fascinated by its robust religious and adventurous connect and plan their trek tours in thousands.

To reach the base of Om Parvat, visitors must cover the entire distance on foot, that takes almost 12 days to complete. The best time to get started with the journey from Dharchula is during the monsoon season, precisely from mid-May to September.

This mini Kailash trek is worth your time when you are, specifically, watching out for an escape from the hustle of your mundane life. It a religious attraction that seized its importance because of being the oldest resting place of Lord Shiva and a place where Ravana once came to visit Lord Shiva. Adi Kailash is a part of the trilogy where the other two places are Kailash Mansarovar and Kinnaur Kailash, both dedicated to Lord Shiva. Moreover, Adi Kailash is the mountainous range near Om Parvat and considering both places the same is a myth you should not believe. That said, Adi Kailash nestles near Brahma Parvat whereas Om Parvat is visible during a trek to Mansarovar.

Passing by Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand, you catch a glimpse of nature’s beauty and emerald mountains, which fills your spirit with a mystic bliss. It will also expose you to places like Bhimtal, which is an ancient town named after the second born of the Pandavas, Bhim. Along with this, you will also cross the hamlets of Kumaon district of Uttrakhand. These gems are an epitome of Indian culture and tradition that you would love to explore if you are an old soul trekker. Coming to the end, you will finally land on the spots of 200 years old Nabidang village.
