As the name suggests, the prevalence of giant and astounding symbol “Om” on this mountain emanates the name, Om Parvat. The mystic existence of Lord Shiva’s blessing in the form of a snow-deposited sacred symbol has popularized this valley among pilgrims, specifically trekkers. Nestled in Darchula district of Uttarakhand, this valley is most visited from August to September to get a glimpse of a dot that completes the symbol. According to Hindu mythology, there are total eight such mountains with this symbol around the world and one of them is engraved by the snow on this mountain.
